Ang 1367 – Kabeer Muh Marane Kaa Chaau Hai
ਕਬੀਰ ਮੁਹਿ ਮਰਨੇ ਕਾ ਚਾਉ ਹੈ ਮਰਉ ਤ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਦੁਆਰ ॥
kabeer muh marane kaa chaau hai marau ta har kai dhuaar ||
Kabeer, I long to die; let me die at the Lord’s Door.
Ang 589 – Bhagat Kareh MarajeevaRe
ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਮਰਜੀਵੜੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
bhagat kareh marajeevaRe gurmukh bhagat sadhaa hoi ||
They alone worship the Lord, who remain dead while yet alive; the Gurmukhs worship the Lord continually.
Bhai Gurdaas Ji Vaaran – Pannaa 1 – Vaddaa Purakh ParagaTiaa
ਵਡਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪਰਗਟਿਆ ਕਲਿਜੁਗਿ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਗਾਈ।
vaddaa purakh paragaTiaa kalijug a(n)dhar jot jagaiee|
You, emerging like a greatman in kaliyug have diffused the light (of knowledge) all around.
Bhai Gurdaas Ji Vaaran – Pannaa 24 – Jagat Guroo Gur Naanak Dheau
ਜਗਤੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਉ ॥੨॥

Ang 193 – Gur Jee Ke Dharasan Kau Bal Jaau
ਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਕੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥
gur jee ke dharasan kau bal jaau ||
I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of the Guru’s Darshan.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਆ ਮਿਟੀ ਧੁੰਧੁ ਜਗਿ ਚਾਨਣੁ ਹੋਆ।

With the emergence of the true Guru Nanak, the mist cleared and the light scattered all around.
Ang 818 – Maat Pitaa Ba(n)dhap Toohai
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਬੰਧਪ ਤੂਹੈ ਤੂ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥
maat pitaa ba(n)dhap toohai too sarab nivaas ||
You are my mother, father and relative; You are abiding within all.
Ang 167 – Too(n) Gur Pitaa Too(n)hai Gur Maataa
ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਗੁਰੁ ਮਾਤਾ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰੁ ਬੰਧਪੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਖਾ ਸਖਾਇ ॥੩॥
too(n) gur pitaa too(n)hai gur maataa too(n) gur ba(n)dhap meraa sakhaa sakhai ||3||
O Guru, You are my father. O Guru, You are my mother. O Guru, You are my relative, companion and friend. ||3||
Ang 533 – Meetaa Aaise Har Jeeau Paae
ਮੀਤਾ ਐਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਪਾਏ ॥
meetaa aaise har jeeau paae ||
O friend, such is the Dear Lord whom I have obtained.
Ang 1313 – Sabh Jot Teree Jagajeevanaa
ਸਭ ਜੋਤਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਗਜੀਵਨਾ ਤੂ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗ ਰੰਗਨਾ ॥
sabh jot teree jagajeevanaa too ghaT ghaT har ra(n)g ra(n)ganaa ||
You are the Light of all, the Life of the World; You imbue each and every heart with Your Love.
Ang 1386 – Balio Charaag A(n)dhayeaar Meh
ਬਲਿਓ ਚਰਾਗੁ ਅੰਧੵਾਰ ਮਹਿ ਸਭ ਕਲਿ ਉਧਰੀ ਇਕ ਨਾਮ ਧਰਮ ॥
balio charaag a(n)dhayeaar meh sabh kal udharee ik naam dharam ||
The lamp is lit in the darkness; all are saved in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, through the One Name and faith in the Dharma.
Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaaran – Pannaa 1 – Baabaa Aakhe Haajeeaa
ਬਾਬਾ ਆਖੇ ਹਾਜੀਆ ਸੁਭਿ ਅਮਲਾ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਦੋਨੋ ਰੋਈ।
baabaa aakhe haajeeaa subh amalaa baajhahu dhono roiee|
Baba replied to the pilgrim hajis, that, without good deeds both will have to weep and wail.
